It was very difficult to pick an artist for my initial artist post. I first came across Michal Chelbin's work about a year ago in Shots Magazine's interview list. Her color palates are truly beautiful. The photograph above is taken from her series entitled "Strangely Familiar" which Chelbin says is an "attempt to capture human stories in everyday life, those that exist in the space between the odd and the ordinary."
